Contemporary Architecture Characteristics
Contemporary architects understand the human need for contact with nature, including materials with which homes are made of. Hence the importance of bamboo floors and plants. Several parts of the houses are made of composite materials with low-emission paints and carpeting. Today’s homes often include ample skylights and big windows to let the sun light the inside.

The Auditorio de Tenerife “Adán Martín” was projected by Santiago Calatrava Valls. The building follows the guidelines of late-modern architecture of the late 20th century. The main hall or Symphony, crowned by a dome, has 1,616 seats in an amphitheatre. Organ pipes go out from both sides of the pit, and were projected by Albert Blancafort. The auditorium can be distinguished from classical designs because it tries to surround the listener with sound sources.

The building is known for its big “arc”, a distinctive one in the history of architecture. It is the only large arch sustained by only two points, while the tip appears to be suspended, against gravity.

Contemporary Interior Design
Contemporary spaces include modern patterns and pieces, mixed with other non-modern elements. Eclectic styles seem inherently to incorporate doses of contemporary design with a mix-and-not-match attitude embracing the world of contemporary décor. Neutral, masculine color palette is employed in this style.
